NELSA

Thank you for attending the 1st NELSA Soccer Academy. We were excited and overwhelmed with the turnout last Monday and apologize for the difficulties resulting from a larger than expected crowd. Our goal is to improve the skills and level of play for all NELSA participants. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work out the kinks with this approach. We are restructuring the program as follows:

1. U5-U6-U7 Boys and Girls on ULM soccer game field.
2. U8-U9-U10 Boys and Girls on ULM practice fields adjacent to soccer field.
3. More staff coaches & ULM Players will be available to help coach / facilitate activities.
4. Please have players wear uniforms so we can better identify teams on the field.

With these adjustments we will be better prepared and have more room to accommodate everyone. So, please make an effort to attend the next clinic which will be held Monday, September 29th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. It will be a rewarding experience for our kids and coaches. Please check this website for details regarding the upcoming NELSA Academy sessions.

Coaches, please make sure that you start your games on time.  If you do not have a referee, it is easy to delay the start of the game while waiting for your players to arrive.  However, that causes the games after yours to be delayed.  So, please make sure that if your game is scheduled for 9:00, that your game starts right at 9:00.  That will make it easier for the parents and coaches of the games after yours.  Thanks.

A donation will be made to Northeast Louisiana Soccer Association for every Uniroyal tire sold to the general public during the 30-day program period.

Coaches and Parents – Please be aware we have an official photographer to take team and individual photos of your children this year. He will be in contact with the coaches to schedule times for photos with your team. He will work with you and meet you when it is convenient for you. Also, he is giving back a portion of his proceeds! He wants to see this association prosper as much as you all do!
