Spring Season information

Greetings Coaches and Parents.  The spring season will start on Saturday, February 14th.

Schedules are in the process of being prepared right now.  They will be available around a week prior to the start of the season.

New spring players are being assigned to teams by the League Reps.  Coaches should be contacted by their League Reps this week with the names of the new players, if any.

Players from the fall do not need to register for the spring season.  The are still on the same team as in the fall.  Coaches from the fall remain the same.  Teams can start practicing at any time.  Uniforms will remain the same.

Local Coaches Obtain USSF National Coaching Licenses

Dr. Bret Sanders (coach of NELSA Force – U12 Girls Premier team) and Bruce Deaton (assistant coach/trainer of NELSA Extreme – U17 Girls Division 1 team) recently completed and successfully obtained their United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National Youth Licenses.

The National Youth License focuses upon the nature of children and the adjustments adults must make to coach them. The course curriculum covers the ages of 4-12 year olds. Each day of the course, the focus is upon one of the traditional soccer age groups of U-6, U-8, U-10 or U-12. The course combines both classroom (theory) and field (practical) sessions and concludes with written, oral and practical examinations.

Congratulations Bret and Bruce!
