Are you looking for a fun yet educational way to improve your child’s soccer skills? Wanting to introduce them to the sport of soccer? The ULM Summer Soccer Camp is a great way to teach and/or improve the fundamentals of soccer to your children. Please find the attached brochure for day camp, as well as, the brochure for the first residential camp for girls entering 9th grade and older.

Please mark Saturday, August 22 down in your calendar for the Annual Coaches Meeting. Remember, this is where you will receive information on your team for the 09-10 soccer season. Uniforms will also be picked up that day. Exact time and place will be determined shortly.

For all players entering the U7, U9, U11 and U13 leagues you must attend one, but preferrably both, of the evaluation times below.  Coaches will use these evaluations to draft their teams for the fall and spring seasons:

Tuesday, August 11 at Chennault Park CenturyTel Soccer Complex:

U7 Boys and Girls at 5:30 pm
U9 Boys and Girls at 6:15 pm
U11 Boys and Girls at 7:00 pm
U13 Boys and Girls at 7:30 pm

Saturday, August 15 at Chennault Park CenturyTel Soccer Complex:

U7 Boys and Girls at 9:00 am
U9 Boys and Girls at 10:15 am
U11 Boys and Girls at 11:30 am
U13 Boys and Girls at 12:00 pm

Please make sure you wear shin guards and cleats and bring your own water bottle and soccer ball. Please arrive early enough to sign-in for your evaluation. Registration tables will be set up near the concession stand.

Anyone interested in coaching a boys or girls Division 1 or Premier team for the season year of 2009/2010 needs to submit a Letter of Interest to coach to the NELSA Board no later than Friday, May 1st. You must state what age group and division (D1 or Premier) you wish to coach, along with your reason for wanting to coach, and any playing and coaching experience you may have. Please also list any coaching licenses you may hold. This letter is required for Head Coaching positions only. Please note that you must submit a letter even if you were a D1 or Premier coach during the 2008-2009 season. The U12B NELSA HAWKS team placed 1st in the Crossroads Cup in Alexandria over the weekend beating out some of the best teams in the state.

The U11B NELSA LIGHTNING fought a valient fight but fell in the semi-finals at Crossroads.

The U17G NELSA EXTREME team dominated the U19G bracket and won 1st place at the Shreveport Red River Classic this weekend too.
