Online is a great way to register as it recalls your information from the previous year after your first year of using it; this way there are no forms to fill out each year.

Cost of uniform is not included in fee. There is a $10 discount for each additional child registered in same household. Parents, please remember that when registering your child for fall soccer, they are automatically placed on the same team for the spring season. No additional registration is required.

Registration will end on Saturday, August 18th. Due to the strict timeline faced for team formation and game scheduling, if your child is not registered by 8/18/12 they will be added to a wait list and placed accordingly as space allows.

NELSA will hold a work day at their complex on Saturday, May 19th from 9 am until ?. Everyone’s help is greatly appreciated. We will clean up from the last season and begin preparing the fields and complex for next fall.

U11 and U12 boys and girls: Wed., May 9th at 6 pm at the NELSA complex AND Sat., May 12th at 9 am at the NELSA complex

U13 through U19 boys and girls: Sat., June 9th at 9 am at the NELSA complex AND Wed., June 13th at 6 pm at the NELSA complex

Attending both tryouts is strongly recommended. If your player is unable to attend one or both of these tryouts, please email NELSA at soccer@nelsa.org and mark the email heading as “LCSL Tryout Conflict” so it can be tagged and reviewed right away. Someone from NELSA will contact you as soon as possible to discuss further action.

Please make sure your player comes prepared; appropriate size ball, cleats, shin guards, water and bug spray.

It is our goal at NELSA to provide all players, Recreational, as well as Competitive, an opportunity to develop to their fullest potential while fostering a passion for the sport of soccer. Competitive teams will be formed based on player evaluations at tryouts, and conducted by NELSA’s competitive staff coaches in conjunction with the Director of Coaching. Players will be evaluated in the areas of athleticism, technical and tactical ability, and psychological / maturity. It is our goal in NELSA to form the most competitive teams possible and as such, while it is always our goal to form single birth-year teams, if the number of competitive players attending tryouts does not support this goal, teams will be formed by combining age groups. Ultimate team formation and player placement will be determined by the Director of Coaching, as approved by the NELSA Board. Play-Up requests must be made in advance, in writing to the DOC, and will be considered on a case by case basis. Players requesting to play out of age group must attend tryouts for both age groups. All decisions regarding play-ups are final. Players in the same school grade (but not birth year) will NOT be considered play-ups.

The Northeast Louisiana Soccer Association (NELSA) is pleased to announce a year of partnership with Challenger Sports, providers of the USA’s most popular soccer camp, to host a week long British Soccer Camp during the week of July 30th – August 3rd at the CenturyLink Soccer Complex, Chennault Park, Millhaven Road, Monroe, LA 71211.

The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s British coaching staff flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs. Challenger will hold over 4,000 British Soccer Camps this summer and will coach over 120,000 players between the ages of 3 and 18, as well as completing FREE coach education clinics for over 30,000 parents and coaches.

Challenger’s British Soccer Camp is more than a week of drills and skills. In addition to taking part in a daily regimen of foot skill development (through the 1,000 touches curriculum), technical and tactical practices and daily ‘World Cup’ tournament style plays, each child will be treated to a rich cultural experience and lessons on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship.

Each camper will receive a FREE camp T-shirt, soccer ball, soccer poster, individual skills performance evaluation and free access to an educational soccer website. In addition, any child who signs up online at least 45 days (June 15th) prior to camp will receive a genuine British Soccer replica Jersey valued at $39.
