Practice Fields

League Reps, you are the person in charge of each practice field for each league. So, the teams in your league will have to contact you to reserve a practice time. If you have more then 2 requests for the same time slot, then use your best judgment to decide who practices when.

Team Formation

If you have not already done so, please go by the nelsa office and check on who has signed up for your league. We have a lot of new players that we need to place on teams. Please try to get the teams formed this week.

Fall Scheduling

The NELSA office will make all of the schedules for the fall season. This includes U5 to U19. League Reps will no longer be asked to make game schedules. The NELSA office hopes to have the schedules finished at least two weeks before the start of the season.

Play Ups

The NELSA office has been receiving a number of calls from parents who want their child to “play up” an age group. For example, their child is a U9 player, but they want to play on a U10 team. NELSA strongly discourages play ups in any age group. Typically, the child is overwhelmed by playing against older children and it hinders the child’s development as a soccer player. However, if you want your child to “play up” in the next age group, you will have to submit a request in writing to the NELSA Board. Please include all reasons why you want your child to play up. The board will then consider each request on a case by case basis. Thank you.
